WELCOME FELLOW CHRISTIANS!!

If you agree with only one thing I say and that being this….

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life” John 3:16

then this blog is for you.

The Bible is the Holy Word of God, and every single word of it is true. For me, the Old and New Testament is a love letter from God, written to every believer that has ever lived and ever will. It is timeless. It will remain relevant until the end of time. So why aren’t Christians reading it? I talk to Christians a lot, and many times when I mention something from the Bible, I can tell they do not have a clue what I’m talking about. Some of these people, I know, go to church all the time. It makes me curious about what is going on in Churches across America.

I’ve attended several churches of different denominations, so I’m not signaling any particular one; this was a problem for me in every one. Across the board sermons, across the board Bible study books. Organized religion had become too organized for me. No spontaneity. No room for the Holy Spirit to move. We all studied from the same guidebooks someone else picked. We all got the same worksheets as we entered the sanctuary and filled in the blanks as the sermon progressed. Then back home where our Bibles lay untouched, until the next Sunday. Is it any wonder that many of us Christians are walking around not knowing anything about the Bible we claim our faith is based on?

I’m not trying to sound judgmental. I’m saying this because I know and understand. I know I’m not the only one that feels this way. I have friends who attend church and feel the same way, but they think this is their only option. So they go from church to church looking for something different. This blog is a place for Christians of any denomination to come and discuss the Bible. I’ll share what I’m reading from the Bible and what it means to me. I welcome and encourage your feedback. Let’s enjoy the journey together.

“And who were these people, ‘having his Father’s name written in their foreheads? Not Bs for ‘Baptists’, not Ws for ‘Wesleyens’ not Es for ‘Established Church’. They had their Father’s name and nobody else’s. What a deal of fuss is made on earth about our distinctions! We think such a deal about belonging to this denomination, and the other. Why, if you were to go to Heaven’s gates, and ask if they had any Baptists there, the angel would only look at you, and not answer you, if you were to ask him whether they had any Christians there, ‘Ay’, he would say, ‘an abundance of them: they are all one now – all called by one name; the old brand has been obliterated, and now they have not the name of this man or the other, they have the name of God, even their Father, stamped on their brow'”.
