I am just an average person—nothing special about me. I’ve been on earth for 52 years. I live in small-town America. I’ve been a barber and shop owner for 26 years. I have a wonderful husband who I love dearly. Between us, we have two sons, a daughter, a granddaughter, and a grandson.
I have zero formal education in Bible theology. I offer a sincere and unabashed tale of my lifelong journey as a Christian. It’s been a bumpy road, and many times I’ve gone off track. Somehow, without truly understanding how, I’ve come to an even deeper understanding of the love Jesus has for me. The purpose of this blog is to offer help to anyone who needs a helping hand on their journey. My prayer is if there is only one person that needs this, they are the one that finds it.
“When a fellow comes forward in all sorts of curious garments, and says he is a priest, the poorest child of God may say, ‘Stand away, and don’t interfere with my office: I am a priest; I know not what you may be. You surely must be a priest of Baal, for the only mention of the word vestments in Scripture is in connection with the temple of Baal.’ The preisthood belongs to all the saints.” (Spurgeon)
